Common questions

How do I open a local video?

Use the open-video action in vPlayer and choose a file in the macOS file picker. You can also drag a video into the app.

Why does vPlayer ask me to select a folder?

macOS limits file access for sandboxed apps. To read other videos in the same folder, vPlayer may ask you to select that folder in the system picker. Select the folder containing the video to grant access.

What if a video does not play correctly?

Check that the file is available locally and opens from the system file picker. Try another video to see whether the issue affects one file or all files. If it continues, email us the file format, your app and macOS versions, and any error message.

How do I restore my Pro purchase?

Sign in to the Mac App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase, then open vPlayer’s Settings and choose Restore Purchases beneath the Pro upgrade button. If access is still missing, contact us with a description of the problem.
